About the Team

Kasandra Jaramillo

I am an energy-filled individual wanting to make a change and create awareness of the power of all forms of communication. I love fishing, camping, and making awesome memories. I am the youngest in a family of 6 and have been blessed with a sister with autism. I have prior experiences in working in ABA, preschool teaching, job coaching, and personal assistance for my sister. What life truly means to me is being able to spread joy and give all people the opportunity to communicate their dreams, opinions , and stand up for what they believe in. Presuming competence is a core value that I hold and stand by. I want more people to understand the importance of presuming competence so that individuals with communication differences are given respect, opportunities, and the chance to show what they truly know. 

I am currently honing my skills as a communication partner by participating in training through Communication for Education and is signed up to complete an upcoming communication partner training with Spelling 2 Communicate. I regularly attend group meetings to volunteer my time, observe, and practice my skills.
